re; TR6 trailing arms

FOTers,
   Speaking of TR6 trailing arms,  we've had a recent run of cracked 
trailing arms. They seem to crack through the web below the wheel 
bearing housing. We haven't seen any actually fail; ie crack through 
and fall off. We've seen maybe half a dozen in the last year, both 
arms on two cars, one each (left?) on two others.
    Anybody else see this trend? Is it coincidence or is this a common 
problem?
