I think I already posted this, but don't see it. I use cascade plus a good
scoop of TSP from the hardware store (Trisodium Phosphate). On anything
that's oily or greasy as well as dirty I prespray with simple green.
So far the washer is staying very clean inside, and I've used it at least
ten times on fairly nasty stuff. I might just stop worrying about the filter
and run this one until it dies so I can dissect it and see what the weak
points are. I might still be waiting for it to die a few years from now.

Cascade didn't seem to do much for me ... and now that I'm a widower, the
dishwasher is fair game. Might even move it to the garage & buy a new one
for the kitchen, if it really will clean parts.
