Certainly there are others who know far better than I, but I'll take a stab at
this anyway. ;-)
I think that GT6s with dual master cylinders used something like a 70/30
master, mostly to deal with the extra weight of the six. I suspect you wouldn't
need this with GT6 front brakes in the Spitfire.
As for the larger rear brakes, I seem to recall someone's Comp. Prep. Manual
stating that there was little or nothing to be gained in fitting the 8" brakes
to the rear of the Spitfire?
