How much is a restored long door TR2 worth? I have a friend who had his "high
school" TR2 at a muscle car restoration shop for the last few years. They took
his money and completely disassembled the car including tearing down the
engine, tranny and diff, but did no actual restoration work other than clean
and paint a few pieces. Recently their "British" specialist quit. He has asked
me if I can help him to get it restored through my club and local business
contacts. The car is worse than a basket case, has frame damage, needs battery
box, floors and rockers as well as other patch panels. I estimated out the
parts and labor and it approaches 30K. I'm tempted to suggest that he sell it
off to someone that wants to restore it themselves and buy a nice TR2
somewhere. So, what do well restored long door TR2's bring?
