Yep. What used to be Armistice Day here was renamed Veterans Day to honor
vets of all wars and peacetime too.

Dad was WWII, also on Guam, and reserves for 30 years, retired as Captain.
Grandad (maternal) was Navy on the USS Nevada in WW I -- communications
officer. I have three teletypes he saved announcing the armistice.
