Friday and Saturday were nice, but it was a washout on Sunday. On
saturday we were treated to Bob Kramer's new, more aggressive driving
style. The braking may have been a bit too aggressive - 11 lap race, 9
flat spots all at turn 9 (the Bitch). Barbra said Bob is approaching 50
and is having some sort of post mid-life crisis. Lap times were
definitely down (low 1:36s). Unfortunately, Dan Duryee wasn't there
with his GT6 for Bob to pick on. Joe Hovey had a rough weekend. Got
nailed (rear fender) by an overly aggressive Midget first time out, then
developed oil pressure problems. The Midget driver was sent home. Jim
Elbe was there from Colorado Springs and was really running strong in
the rain. I seem to own the pre-1961 group 4 at Hallet. Unfortunately,
it's a different story everywhere else.
