I have a similar boondoggle planned. Off to Sonoma for the CSRG race at
Sears next weekend, then a little wandering around and a business meeting on
Thursday and Friday, then HMSA at Thunderhill. I've never raced
Thunderhill--I hear it's a wonderful track with some amazing elevation
changes and technical turns. Peyote's ready.
Baxter, if you're lurking, it would be great to see you assuming you have
the time. I was so wrapped up in stuff last time you came to a race that we
hardly had time to catch up. Let me know and I'll add you and anyone else
you might bring to my crew list.

Subject: Re: Racing in New Mexico - Here we come!
Walt and FOT,
We leave Thursday morning to blaze a trail across the great Southwest.
Can't wait to try the Sandia track and enjoy that New Mexico hospitality.
Mike Bruner and I are bringing the Spitfire and the Lola T342. After
Sandia, we're going to goof around (Roswell, Carlsbad Caverns, etc) for a
week and then heat to the VARA race in Vegas. Should be a great trip! Any
other FOTers going?
Not bad for a couple of working guys...
