AMEN to that!
Many years ago, I broke Ole Blue at GRATTAN, and Bob Woodward put me in his
FORMCAR VEE for the Sunday warm up and feature race. It didn't take me long to
find out just how little I knew about race car driving, and where the saying,
"Keep your Revs Up!" came from. I embarrassed myself good. At the time, ALL
the open wheel cars ran in one group. When the field came up behind me
(probably on the second lap), it was scary. Phil Cull took the same car a
couple
of events later, and prescribing after some suspension adjustments, finished
First in Class. I wrote an article for the MONOPOSTO REGISTER newsletter
describing my exposure to the real world. I doubt if I'm being considered for
their
Hall of Fame.
