If you Google silicone brake fluid, you will find a host of articles about this stuff. One common thread is that you still need to flush the stuff every two years or the same old corrosion problems will occur. There are also some alleging that foreign rubber may not like Dot 5. We have done some work on old Postal jeeps that used it and there were still issues with corrosion and frying the brake lite senders. my $.02 art d |
