I understand your irritation and I'm sorry I offended you. But let me ask
you something Bob, did I say anything that wasn't true?

I don't think any of us fails to understand that what we are talking about
is getting away with doing something wrong. I protest no innocence, I simply
want to get away with being the irresponsible, immature guy that I am. I
drive for fun, every day, even when I'm commuting. That doesn't mean I'm
always speeding, but I'm never treating it with absolute social
responsibility. And I have no intention of ever being that responsible. I
don't call them toys without reason.

You know, way better than I do, that the justice system is more about
municipal convenience than justice. And I know, way better than you do,
where my heart is as far as anyone who does his job, serves his country, and
tries to help. It's simply not what I was writing about.

I find your comments highly offensive as I am a retired law enforcement
officer that put his life on the line on more occasions than I care to
remember, stopped burglaries in progress, administered life saving
procedures, assisted elderly folks get to and from the grocery store and
on
and on and on!

I can't tell you how many times I issued traffic tickets to people who
got
their panties in a wad because they "got caught" breaking the law,
threatened to show up in court and smear me all over the place and then
never show because they realized they were really in the wrong. Yes, the
police profession does have it's individuals that may not be stand up
guys
or gals, but to lump us all into that category is "WRONG". Think about
everything you guys are thinking or saying and remember that the next
time
you are in an accident bleeding profusely and the first guy on the scene
is
a cop who saves your life.
