Ok, so it's not really a vintage race prepped car, but the last time we had
the TR6 at Keystone Dragway (Now Pittsburgh Dragway or something like that)
for the TRF summer party, I ran a 15.5xx (stock carbs, street tires, stock
open rear differential). My quickest run was when I was lined up next to
Richard Good, I don't have the slip with me, but I do believe we both ran
within a tenth of each other's times, what a blast!!!

Subject: Drag Racing Triumphs?
Amici,
I've been wondering what kind of times the current vintage-race TR's might
run. Anyone have a story to tell?
Years ago, there was a genuine 1/4mile dragstrip not too far from my home,
and every once in a while I would take my TR4A there for "testing". I
didn't
save the time slips, but I think the best I ever did was around 15.6 seconds
at
85-88 mph. At the time, my car was still streetable, barely.
