Will they mix in other sizes? I have a lot of liners with seize or wear
marks that I wouldn't mind turning back into useful parts. Is that $111 per
piston or per set? At $111 per piston I'd need to be convinced that these
are a lot better pistons than British Parts Northwest or BFE, or any of many

My experience with Wiseco is ancient, and mostly concerned two stroke
pistons. Those kind of sucked, though they had nice L-shaped top rings (I've
forgotten the name for these), looked pretty and were available in larger
overbores than the factory stuff (thus extending the life of frequently
bored barrels, no small thing with oversquare two strokes that develop
terminal piston rattle in 1000 miles) they had lower silicon content and
didn't have the complex skirt shapes that the factory stuff had.
Why are you doing a pop-up? These heads flow badly enough as it is.

I am looking to have some custom TR3/4 pistons made by Wiseco. They will be
87mm with a 165/1000 inch pop-up. They will have the underside of the dome
lightened as well as the rest of the piston. They will use Wiseco rings.
The catch is, they want a minimum order of 8, and that is 3 more that what I
was looking to buy at this time. As of this time, we are looking at about
$111 per piston with pins and rings (plus shipping). Is anyone interested in
splitting an order?
Another alternative is that there was some discussion about Venolia pistons
a while back on the list. Do they have a pop-up piston and will they do
small orders?
