Importing from New Zealand

I have a friend that is considering importing a Triumph 2500pi to the states
from New Zealand.  He already owns the car.  He is checking into what it costs
and was wondering if anyone might be interesting in sharing a container and
importing a car also.

If anyone has some advice or things to watch out for please let me know.
