Our TR3 rally car has been using stock rear shocks with 5w-30 Mobil 1. This 
provides the right feel paired with our heavy duty rear springs, but the oil 
tends to push past the seals. Since it's 3500 miles of rally work, often on 
very rough roads, we usually have to top them up somewhere about 1/2 way. I 
have a set on the way to Apple for upgrading to 'heavy duty'.
