Hmm. Never had a problem. I use the BFE pulley conversion, and that might
be part of the reason why. It converts to a slower pump speed and modern
belt.

Hey Rob,

I had to run a belt fairly tight to keep from throwing it off at high
RPMs. To put it on I had to remove the water pump, install it on the
pulley and replace the water pump. Fairly easy with four nuts. (Three on
the water pump and one working on it).
