I found that NASA sanctioning group has a very open interpretation of
what is acceptable with respect to body construction. So you can save himself
a whole bunch of money by simply joining NASA. This is a great group for
people with post 1972 racecars who want to race them in their last
configuration and avoid the costs of retrofitting them to typical "vintage
requirements". They are filing in the void between the vintage era and
current era. There are some very very nice car running with NARA. (They
probably even let you run your Ferrari)
