This seems like a good idea. The copyright problems in the present
distribution of the original Competition Preparation Manuals are enough to make
me cringe. I'd sure as heck purchase an updated CompPrepManual from Kas and it
would be nice to see him actually get the money for it.

I realize that there are certain performance secrets that everyone
keeps to themselves. However, it is evident from the dialog that happens on
FOT that this group has advanced the knowledge of the preparation of these
racecars and perhaps we need to think about updating the competition manuals.
In the process of updating these manuals, we might further consider
referring the sources of parts from FOT and other sources. Maybe some of the
suppliers would think about advertising support to help our retired FOTers
prepare the manuals (and support their racing habits).
