Hi,
This might be "out there", but I've never been too shy to toss out an off
the wall idea.
The discussion of Beaver Run got me thinking - where exactly is Beaver Run
in relation to Indiana, PA. Turns out that it's about 80 miles away,
mostly accessible via PA Rt. 422. Too far away to use the facility as part
of the TRF/VTR - but tantalizingly close when you consider:
a. there's a dedicated area for autox use
b. there's a choice of _two_ road courses for the "real racers".
I would like to poll the list - would anybody on the list be interested in
having a yet to be named person or persons approach Beaver Run to find out
about renting a part of the facility prior to the VTR? My personal
interest would be to see about the autocross "track", but maybe we could
work out a "driver school" or some track time for road racing folks.
I'm not ready to commit to coordinating an endeavor like this, but I would
like to see what the interest level is. It does look like an interesting
facility and I'm all for getting as much seat time as possible. What do
YOU think?
Please feedback to me off-list.
