Folks;
I have run at Mosport for the past 5 years and view it as being a very high
priority. The staff of the track and of VARAC treat us like kings and their
attitude is spectacular. The track is very challanging and the amount of
seat time is almost double what a stateside event has. Nothing against SVRA
intended, VARAC has fewer groups to schedule so it naturally works to the
participants advantage.
Some of you have said it was too close to MidOhio's event. Well, maybe think
about trying both or doing Mosport. I can't say enough good things about the
event. I had put the bug in their ear this summer and told them of the
Triumph based events we had in the past and the MG/TR contests. They
instantly took the ball and ran with it. With the possible exception of Ice
Hockey, the folks in Canada are very much into vintage motorsports.

The exchange rate brings this event in at about 1/2 of what we are used to
in the states. It's the high point on my racing schedule. Check it out, you
won't regret it.

We have participated in this event twice. Both times were really memorable
expereinces. Mosport is a wonderfully challenging track. Some famous race
driver once characterized it as "the most challenging piece of asphalt in
North America". That doesn't mean that it is scary difficult -- it's just a
track on which you won't go to sleep.

The organizers and clubs and people are just super. This event is going on
my "high alert" list for next year (a little 9/11 lingo there).
