The VTR autox went well, from a first-timer's perspective, although I did
hear some grumbling about getting only 3 timed runs in a full day. I'd
never done a parking lot autox before (just Midwestern Council's Solo-I
style events), and was pleasantly surprised at how much fun it is. It's a
much more cerebral competition than solo on a road course -- it's harder to
remember the course and plan for the next corner when it just looks like a
sea of cones instead of a blacktop path through the trees.
Richard Good walked off with FTD with his lovely TR6. Good Parts, indeed.
He was also kind enough to take me for a spin around the course after the
timed runs were done and I can tell you it's not just the Parts -- Richard
can drive.

I wonder how the VTR autocross went today? First time I've missed it
in 13 years, had a streak going since Boulder, 1990. Oh well.
