Well, I've not actually done the research yet to verify my possibly
faulty memory.  It may be that the actual amount of rack travel for
each turn of the pinion is the same, and the difference I am thinking of
is just due to the limited steering travel of the TR4A-6 compared to the
rather impressive range of movement in the small chassis cars.  I'll look
it up someday when I've got nothing much else to do!
