Now that I have all the "fires" in my office either put out or under
control, I want to let everone know what a great time I had at Mid Ohio.
I want to thank everone for the "first aid" when the waterpump on my
"Greenman" packed it in on the trip to...
Special thanks goes to George Wright for the replacement pump that in haste,
I managed to screw up (REMEMBER, FOLKS: try not to rush repairs and eat
before you do them). George, there will be a replacement for your
replacement heading your way shortly. Thanks also goes to Henry Fry for the
file and gasket goo. Finally thank YOU to Fred "Powdercoat" Thomas who came
up with a nifty BFE competition waterpump that I didn't manage to ruin. It
got me all the way home cool as a cucumber.
Once my water pump issue was solved, I was able to really relax and enjoy
myself. My mission was to get shots of the weekend and coordinate with the
photographer to set up the panoramic shot. The the weather cooperated when
it was necessary and I was able to get some good shots of the action.
The true strength of any organization is it's people. Joe Alexander and we
all proved that you don't need dues, monthly meetings, officers or all that
"bidness" to get folks together. The FOT gang showed that anarchy can work!
When serious car stuff needed to be done (the TR5 from across the BWS comes
to mind) things got done. Still, there was lots of time to catch up with old
friends, make new friends and enjoy the camaraderie of mass quantities of
Triumphantly minded folks.
We've GOT to get the Brits back!
Perhaps we can make an FOT invasion over there...
What an incredible weekend!

That's not a leak... My car's just marking its territory...
