Irv, after a number of calls today to Cotswold-upon-Damper, UK, I am
told that the Right Honourable B. ("Brit") Leyland, a rightfully-elected
member of the lower house of Parliament and distant cousin to Sir Donald
Campbell, is prepared to offer his driving services, after the
unfortunate demise of Sir Stan Part, providing that he is demobilised
from his current duties as cultural attache to the 45 Commando Royal
Navy Marines, currently in Afghanistan, in time to attend the event.

Brit is a long-time Triumph enthusiast, and is currently rebuilding his
prized 1800 Roadster, after what he has previously described as "a nasty
accident, very nasty, indeed. I never realized that a cow could be quite
so solid." Brit's charming and long-suffering wife, Gloria, says that he
has fully recovered from his injuries and is "quite fit... for a man his
age."

Confirmation of his availability is still pending, as Col. Leyland is
currently incommunicado, his satellite phone having been destroyed by a
rocket.
