I am not aware of any better gaskets than original, the major problem with
these engines is the recess round the bores that means the firing rings must
be the correct depth so they seal properly (been there, done that - found
repro gaskets with firing rings too shallow). New original gaskets look
similar to diesel engine gaskets which withstand huge pressures.
