Have it both ways. My problem was when the studs would back part way out, so that there was not room to remove the nut / spring pan. My solution was to run a tap all the way through the stud hole from the bottom ( stress relieve the top of the hole) - and run a bolt in from the top. If the "stud" is in the way, you can back it out (up). If not, you have the "stud" to help seat the spring pan. Check for clearance with steering items; the extra weight is minimal. HP |
