Foam air filters

When my engine let go last August, a hole was blown through my ITG
foam air filter.  TWM said that ITG will not sell just the foam, and
that I would need to buy a whole filter.  This gets expensive $100+
for dual Webers on a TR3.  Does anyone know of a source for a sheet of
air filter foam?  Pegessus lists a kit in their catalog, but at $50
for a sheet of foam and some adhesive, it it not worth it.  Joe(B)
