Lucas high output generator?

Over the holidays Speedvison (Legends of Motor Racing) featured a neat 
film made by Standard Triumph. This short documented the effort at 
Sebring in 1963. 

The film spent some time detailing the mods, which were pretty much by 
the factory competition manual. They mentioned a "high output generator" 
which was needed to power the extra lights.

Does anyone know if this was a standard item, and if there might be some to 
be found today? :-)
