Sorry to flog this topic again but it's getting interesting. I tore the
unit
apart tonight expecting cams and pawls per the responses I've received.
(THANX, BTW) What I found resembles a stack of teeth held in engagement
by a
spring on either side. It appears the teeth will remain in engagement
until
a sufficient differential force appears to overcome the springs and allow
the
teeth to slide over each other. Increased lockup would come with
increased
spring pressure. Does this sound familiar? It looks like it would work
but
I've no idea what I've got. Can anybody recognize this thing?? It's
gonna
get a set of 4.11 gears for the GT6 to run on tight tracks but I'd be
tickled
to learn about it, Thanx, Steve
