Trailer???? What happened to the tow bars and flat towing behind an E Type
Jaguar!
19 mpg and 200,000 miles of reliable towing. (picture still on FOT website?)
As for safe and sane, I have a single axle 900 lb trailer with surge brakes
that TS helped me select at Road Atlanta the day before the 87 market crash.
My TR3 weights about 1750 lbs after many years of work.
We get charged by the axle crossing bridges out here, and 900 lbs is heavier
than ideal anyway. At my TR3's weight, no problems with the single axle, and
fewer things to fail. I did frequent inspections.
A 93 Ford Aerostar 4L All wheel drive extended just fits in my garage, and
holds
at least 1500 lbs of tools and spares. (Ask Joe!) The All Wheel drive
includes a number of goodies like a HD trans that you NEED if you go the
Aerostar route.
16.5 MPG is a big deal if you tow as much as I did. Most tracks are at
least one 4,000 foot pass away from here, and it did pull the I 70 grade west
from Denver a couple of times. Ask Ellie why :-) I do not remember
pantyhose being involved, but what do I know.
Who Can It Be Now :-)
