To me its a matter of gross trailer weight. My last open, dual axle trailer
weighed 1800 lbs. Add to that the weight of a TR6.....2800 lbs??? and
you've got a pretty hefty load for a single axle, in my opinion. Check the
gross weight rating of the axle(s), and apply a liberal safety factor...I
think you will be more comfortable, and safer, with a dual
axle rig.
