I use a 95 Ford F250 with the 7.3L powerstroke diesel. I tow a 22ft open trailer with a gooseneck hookup.Towing the trailer I get 19MPG and has plenty of power. On the Interstate 70 MPH is 2000RPM and is the peak of the Torque curve of the engine. When it hits a hill it doesn't notice it. I had a 5L gas before this and was lucky to get 12 miles to the gallon. The trailer is double axle and has brakes on both axles so stopping is no problem. Their is plenty of room for the TR3A and has locking storage boxes on the front part. The reason I have an open trailer vs a closed trailer is I pick up cars for a restoration shop and most of them don't run and is easier to winch them on. Sold on that diesel...
