I think the secret is not to look too much like a tourist ie go round carrying
your wallet in a sack on your back with a Rottweiler in it.

The late Mike Rothschild was once collecting some fresh bread from the local
bakery in New Jersey. He was bending down to put the bread in the back of his
car and a thief stole his wallet from his back pocket. The thief also ripped
the pocket clean off the seat of his pants.
