Because of the regulations at that time ( late 50's) wherein NOTHING could
be changed or added we did bend the upright with lots of heat.  Simple stuff
to do and good material.  The plan then was, just heat till red then bang on
the top of the tire to give  your favorite  camber. .  Amazing it works very
well and dead easy. It does screw up some of the other geometry but most of
those cars weren't fast enough or have enough tire to tell the difference.
But the increase in camber was wonderful.
