Question (business) first
Have the mid Ohio dates been set yet - and what are they? Is it firmed up
at all as a 'happening'?
Any idea of tire requirements - I need to re-tire right now, and would like
to get whatever will be required at the TR event at Mid Ohio next summer.
Any ideas or info? I'd like to run in a historic class if offered.

CVAR ran a great, large event this weekend and the one hour enduro was run
on Saturday instead of the usual Sunday time slot. Season over, and a car
running great, #39 1959 TR3 took to the track for the 60 minute event. 1
pit stop, refuel and back on track (after a required 5 minute stop) and we
finished the event at speed, without over heating or any of the feared
gremlins. Bob Kramer knows a thing or two about building these engines.
Lap times were equal to laps in the 20 minute sprints. It was just great.
Even getting passed by other LARGE closed wheel cars. Boss 302.
Shelby(s). Whale Tail FAST Porsche. Very fast. Panterra on the front
straight at TWS - oh my gosh what a feeling THAT was. It'll train you to
use your mirrors in a hurry.
Repeat (to throw in MG drivers' faces) one of our TR3 ran 2 races PLUS an
enduro in one day. And lived to run Sunday morning (somehow, lap times
were 2 whole seconds better on Sunday). Somehow the driver was sore on
Sunday, not the car!
Hallet, OK is our next stop in Oct. 2001. The track is repaved, reported
in great condition, and CVAR will welcome you. For information contact Art
Summerville at mustrace82@aol.com . See you there.
