I've always wanted to get down to Mid-Ohio and the prospect would almost
certainly put me over the edge. My EP TR4 has fiberglass, 4-link coil-over,
Saab rear disks and lots of development by Chip Bond - its main problem is
the nut behind the wheel. Given an open track day, friendly TR race and a
weekend of socializing, I'd happily drive 8 hours or so. Also love to be a
corner worker the other days, you meet the nicest people that way. I'm
intrigued by the mention of one-time runs for non-SVRA cars tho, love to
hear more.
Pretty sad weekend for the FOT contingent at the Blackhawk Farms Midwestern
Council race this last weekend. I cooked a head without the temp gauge
moving and Jeff Senty's Spit got T-boned after hitting oil and getting
sideways. At least when we get Susan's banners we'll be the best-looking
teams at the track.
