Hey, it never hurts to ask. The worst they will say is no. On the other
hand they will probably take a look at your road racing experience and
suggest a school of some sort. SVRA historically ties into a Mid-Ohio
School the day before the event. I took it last year, and it really helped
learn the track. I didn't get the full benefit last year because of a
recalcitrant flywheel, but I got enough time in under my belt to be allowed
to run the rest of the weekend. I did the track walk with the school this
past weekend, and I am sure that helped my performance a bit.

The weekend after M-O is Mosport. That is where many of the FOT are at this
very moment. About 400 miles from M-O, north of Lake Erie
Mosport has a couple of things going for it that are real tempting. First,
it's in Canada, and we all know the strength of the American Dollar against
the Canadian Dollar. Also, the entry fee is inexpensive to start with, so
it ends up being really affordable.
Also, the weekend is chock full of track time. I understand the track is
extremely fast, and everyone keeps telling me about the pucker factor of
this certain right hander you enter at over 100!

BRIC is usually held in July. I am thinking real hard about attending BRIC
2002 myself. After running Road America, I have to go back and do it again.
And again. ;-) The SVRA event was real low key, Joe A. tells me that
BRIC is the exact opposite.
