Hi,
Two FOT's were out at a local autox this weekend (April 29, to be precise)
in the eastern MA town of Ayer - Matt Wilder (and brother Andrew) in the
TR4 and this author in the TR6. A good time was had by all.
Good news - Matt Wilder wins EP in a competitive field. Well done!
Bad news - tires. I "chorded" a tire (no doubt due to a spectacular slide
two weeks previous at another event) and Wilder picked up a large object
in a front tire which lead to a rapid deflation - aka a "puncture".
Coincidence? Try this. Both TR tire problems - the right front.

Hopefully, we'll both be out at the event this weekend (May 4 - 5) in
Loudon, NH. Rumor has it that several other FOT's will be in NH this
weekend, some for the Solo II event and others for the Volvo Historics
series. If you are up that way and you see me or my car - please be sure
to say "hi!".
I'll try to be up there overnight on Sat. (I'm supposed to be involved
with a driver school on Sat.), but due to my tire "problem" I'm not sure
if I'll have the car up there 'till Sunday, AM. Time will tell. I'm
praying that Mr. UPS and Hoosier Tom get it together and get me a new set
of slicks in time...
