Leon,
I bought the MSD6AL with built in rev limiter so perhaps you can benefit from
my experience.

I found a set of helical wound Borg Warner wires especially made for the
Spitfire so it saved me a bunch.

Here are the things that I did to get it running:

1. Cut the proper jumper wires to configure it for a 4 cylinder. It comes
configured as an 8 cylinder, but can be configured for 4 and
6.)

2. Found a good place to mount it away from heat and debris. Drilled holes for
the shock mounts and installed it.

3. Connected the large Red wire to the battery connection of the starter
Solenoid and the large black one to the bolt that secures the
left front outrigger to the frame.

4. I connected the Orange wire to the positive coil terminal and its mating
black wire to the coil negative terminal.

5. I connected the small red wire to both the Pertronix Ignitor red lead and
the ignition switch. I connected the white wire to the
black Pertronix lead. (These two wires are also used on a car that has breaker
points instead of the Pertronix.)

6. I connected the trigger wire from my electronic tach (After market) to the
connector especially provided for that purpose.

7. I had to install a diode in line from the Alternator to the ignition charge
lamp to keep the circuit form causing run-on.

8. I Installed the Helical wound plug wires and gapped the plugs at .045. (The
instructions recommend .04 to .05 for compression
ratios of 10.5 to 13:1.)

That was all I did except install the 6500 rpm rev limiter module following a
test with the 3000 test module.

It works like a champ!

Regards,
Joe
