There are some errors in this as presented (especially the 'spreading extremely
quickly' part, it's been around since 1992 or so), but it's basically true.
The numbers are seriously inflated, the charges are typically more like $50 or
$100.
809 is not the only area code however, you also should worry about :
242, 246, 264, 268, 284, 345, 441, 473, 664, 758, 767, 784, 787, 868, 869, and
876
Note that there _are_ legitimate phone numbers in these area codes. Not all
are fraudulent.
