Well, perhaps I just stepped in it.

However, this should have never become an issue on Autocrossing. Nothing was
said about Autocrossing until it was brought up as a response. There was no
content impugning Autocrossers.

My Excuse: I have received a number of complaints about postings that erode
into chat room style exchanges that pile up messages with little value added.

I should have said that to begin with, or nothing at all...sorry...instead I
danced around the issue, trying to turn it into something positive.

Yup, your right...if it aint broke, let's not fix it.

Hello FOT,

I am not being grumpy...

We need to come up with some solutions about copying the whole list, where it
largely concerns a small segment of the FOT list population.

I developed a sub-group of Midwest TR racers who I see frequently and have a
common bond with. We e-mail each other with our inanities without disturbing
the greater group. That's one idea.

Website Activities: This list is pretty powerful...we need to harness it.
Thru the efforts of Mordy Dunst (Webmaster) and Henry Frye (Website
Coordinator), the FOT website is going to become a 'living document' once
more. One plan is to filter some information through the website. ie: the
"Southwick Axle Conversion" for TR3/4 racers...a safety issue that might save
a car or a life.

I think comments, events, and opinions, that develop into "threads" that are
of value to only a small segment of the list, should be avoided. Please note
that I do not often offer an opinion of this kind.

Any more ideas? Hope this was taken with the spirit in which it was offered.

Best Regards,

Joe (A)
