It is interesting to note that on many older Morgans with the light duty or
"normal" front stub axles, we often find the axles bent. AND THEY BEND
DOWNWARD and not up as one might logically think. So the cornering forces
tending to bend the axle under the car seem to be the greatest forces acting
on the spindles. Many of these bend spindles don't pass Magnaflux
inspection.
