Jack,
Although I am not sure if Volvo used the A or J, it was my understanding
that they did not have the speedo drive output, not a major consideration
for racing. I am unaware of any other discrepancies, but I am not an expert
the Volvo OD's either.
About those cheap Volvo A-types........
