Ah yes, beautiful sunny skies, what lovely weather. Makes you want to
grab your swim trunks and head for the beach. Well, okay, maybe it
isn't quite THAT warm outside. And speaking of beaches, it is that
time of year once again, the annual Fat Chance Garage and Brewery
Beach Party is coming right up! This is your annual opportunity to
put one of those little umbrellas in a mug of homebrew!
Yep, Saturday night, February 20th, 7:30 pm. There will be some live music,
as one might expect when Karen's musically inclined cohorts show up. While
one doesn't normally think of the Beach Boys when listening to various obscure
eastern European dance numbers, they do enjoy a chance to try their hand at
something like "Sloop John B"
And as one would expect, there will be a sampling of some hand-crafted, uh,
beverage available for those willing to imbibe. And probably a few soft
drinks, too, the kids seem to prefer those for some reason. I'm planning on
whipping up a version of a pork and chipotle chile, maybe a cheese cake.
You may want to bring along any special elixirs more to your taste, and
various pot luck dishes are certainly welcome as well.
So dust off those shapeless floral garments, as appropriate attire is
encouraged, and the more innovative may well be rewarded.

Ironicly, Park Street has very few places to park in our block.
You may wish to make use of the lot at Calvary Baptist, on the
corner of 700 South and Park Street.
