For racing, it seems that most people move the coil to the inner fender. For driving on the highway, the coil probably should be mounted on the engine for two reasons: 1) The warming of the engine will evaporate moisture more quickly from the coil. 2) The better air flow in line with the radiator fan will have the same effect, plus possibly better cooling in traffic jams. |
