I would like to introduce myself to the group. I have a stock TR 6 that I
built from assorted boxes of parts. I started running club time trials at
Lime Rock and after a year of autocrossing, welding the frame and replacing
the shocks several times I decided to build another TR 6 to autocross.
During the planning process I was in touch with Bob Lang about tires and I am
sure others on the list. Many people were very helpful with the planning and
design stage. I finished the AP class TR 6 at the end of August. The end
result is a really nice track car that is a blast to drive. I finished the
last autocross on Sunday and the car ran great, but the driver didn't drive
to well. The previous weekend the car was starving for fuel and wasn't
accelerating well. I fixed the problem and kept trying to pushing the car to
see how well it would accelerate and I kept over driving the course.
I'm putting the car up for the winter and planning next years improvements.
Once again I'll be looking for advice.
