Do as you oughta -- add acid to watah. I haven't read the rest of this conversation, but if you're trying to clean rough-cast mag wheels, the easy way is Eagle One Mag Wheel cleaner, which is basically dilute flouric acid and a little surfactant. It's nasty stuff, but at least it's premixed and the surfactant aids penetration. Works like magic, but don't spill it on any polished surface or it will look like rough cast really soon. |
