hello list. just returned from mid-ohio. as always, it looks great.
the lower paddock - the garage area - is now completely paved with
blacktop. no more grassy area betwwen the middle and the lower paddock.
for those of you picking up your FOT shirts, please try to come by as
early in the wek-end as possible. mid-ohio gets sort of crazy for us
when the spectators hit, so this would be appreciated. we have a few
shirts left. if you want exttras, buy them early.
we are parked on the left side of the main road, going to the garages,
in the middle paddock. we are on the same side as truesports just
before you get to their building. if any FOT are interested in polo
shirts, please see doris for samples. thanks and we look forward to
seeing you.
in the spirit of the challenge race, we had procurred the ultimate
"shock the mgs" race car. i was going to drive the john kelly ex-group
44 tr8. primarily as a tribute to john who passed away a year ago at
this event and also because it would have really rattled the mg guys.
unfortunately, for me, the car was sold about 2 weeks ago.
congratulations to the new owner, but i lost my ride.
lanky foushee, group 44 crew chief for most of the years - '69 to the
end of teh gtp jag - will be in attendance. lnky will be in our booth
periodically and with bill warner tending his tr6. stop and meet lanky.
this is truely a nice man with a wonderful treasure trove of stories.
