Well, after the driving it method is the Flat Tow method.

A nice, but decidedly dangerous method to exercise the E Type.

Andy didn't mention the Triumph way: A 2.5PI Estate & trailer.

I strongly second the mention of trailer brakes ( I have done OK with
surge brakes, but the trailer only brake override available with electric
is nice if the tail wags)
The same for light weight trailers & a CB

I will add a thought for low CG for both trailer and tow vehicle. Just keep
the trailer high enough to get in the driveway.

The closer the hitch ball is to the tow vehicle rear axle CL the better.

How serious you are leads into the 4 wheel drive question and the amount
and accessibility of your tools/spairs.

Ask JA about my AWD Aerostar being full to the brim :-) It is easy to load
and has a good CG when properly loaded. The floor is a good height for
working.
16.6 MPG towing and a 21 gal. tank work out well for long trips.
MPVs are named for good reason; it sees lots of other uses.

I do not have room in the basement for a full size van.

Towing: Hundreds of hours of excitement, preparing for the inevitable
moments of terror.

                       HP

P.S. JA, PC is thinking of one OCT. in 25 years away from the track :-)
