TR2 - TR3A frame interchangeability

I asked this last week but nobody responded so I'll ask again.  I have a
friend that has a TR3A that he is planning on restoring. He has a TR2 or
early TR3 frame in his shed.  He'd like to rebuild the car by using the
older frame and swapping pieces.  Can anyone verify that their are no
differences between TR2 through TR3A frames, or if there is?
