S/R TR2 Service Instruction Manual PN:502602, Supplement "TR3 Models,
Engine, Section B" page one normal production at engine No. TS.12564E
new rocker pedestal brackets of aluminium alloy were incorporated...
allowing 0.010" valve lash cold on both inlet and exhaust valves.
the TR2 "Genera Data" lists inlet Touring .010"; High Speed Motoring .013"
Exhaust Touring .012"; High Speed Motoring .013" both cold.
My car came with the cast iron items, and they were the "trick" thing to have
as they were believed to be stronger. The cast iron broke just like the
later
items when the rocker shaft failed because the ends were not supported.
BTW the factory assumed that one would have a complete set of manuals,
and I strongly suggest that TR racers at least read the FactoryTR2 manual,
as the later manuals do not cover all the items from earlier manuals. I also
could
not believe how helpfull the TR4 manual was when I finally obtained a used
